A meeting of Washington National bank depositors is set for tomorrow at 7 39 pm in the high school auditorium. Depositors are urged to attend to discuss the bank’s future and press for immediate action toward reopening as a going concern.
An emergency decree fixes the death penalty for betrayal and injuring the state. Police raids on communist quarters in Erfurt and elsewhere lead to over 200 arrests as Hitler clamps down on alleged plots including the Reichstag fire. The regime portrays a broad communist threat and intensifies suppression.

Final arrangements were made this afternoon for a basketball game here next Monday evening between the Y M C A quintet and the Globe Trotters. Ernest G. Liebold Henry Ford’s missing secretary was found today in a Traverse City hotel room guarded by state troopers. Officials said he appeared exhausted after months of tension from reorganizing Ford’s banking affairs and had checked in under the name W. S. Sampson.
