Ralph Edward Milford of Washington stood trial in Washington County District Court on a larceny in the nighttime charge for December 1975 theft from Burt's Appliance Co. warehouse. An 11 woman and 1 man jury was seated, with Milford held on 2500 bond. Judge L R Carson presiding. state by County Attorney Richard Bordwell. defense by Craig Arbuckle. Trial expected to last a few days.

Doctor Pulls Out of Washington Clinic Plans
Local medical officials learned over the weekend that a young physician slated to locate in Washington July 1 rejected the practice here due to contract disagreements. The unnamed doctor was once viewed as a likely addition to the county hospital’s new medical clinic. Officials said there is still hope another physician now in military service will locate around November 1. A special community committee continues the search for more doctors.
