Trouble At The Dump Returns To Purely Personal

An old Purely Personal column recalls a hot noon at the Sanitary Landfill. A flat tire, a one way jack, dentist Doc Eicher and Bill Crawford rescue the narrator. After struggles, a push free, a near-depleted tank, and a late service car, the author survives the day’s misadventures. The piece closes with a memory of a golf vacation and a joke about aging and play.
