Mrs Grace E Gabriel died after a five week illness at Washington County Hospital. Funeral services are set for Saturday at 3 p m at Wellman Baptist Church with Rev Gerald Beltz. burial at Wassonville Cemetery. Born June 4 1882 in Washington County she was the daughter of Edwin and Emma Brown. She married Ernie Gabriel on March 6 1907 who preceded her in death. Survived by two sons Roy and Wayne of Wellman two granddaughters one brother George L Brown of Sedalia Mo and a sister plus two brothers and a granddaughter predeceased her.

Expansion Planned at Davenport Alcoa Plant
The Aluminum Company of America will start a 10 million dollar expansion at the Davenport plant this summer to meet rising demand for sheet aluminum products. Manager L T Letsinger said the plan could create more jobs and will complement two earlier expansions including a 1.3 million dollar project to double enamel coated sheet capacity and a 450 thousand dollar foil laminators installation.
