Davenport Man Killed in Highway 92 Crash
Pearl J. Thorington a 55 year old Davenport resident died Tuesday in a collision on highway 92 four miles west of Columbus Junction. His wife Juanita and three sons Jim 16 Bob 14 and John 14 were hospitalized with minor injuries. The car struck the lip of the road lost control crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a semi driven by Richard L Techau 25 of Stanwood. The car plunged down an embankment into a creek. The vehicle was totally demolished with damage estimated at about 18000.
