Washington city council contracted Pyle Bros Iron Preserving of Council Bluffs to paint and restore the water tower interior and exterior to prevent rust. Washington hogs bring good price at Chicago market
Ed Jackson, who runs the cooperative livestock shipping association, consigned a carload of fat hogs to Chicago. The Farmers Union livestock commission bought the shipment at eight dollars eighty five cents per hundred, with some hogs sorted out. Jacob Putman Dies After Long Illness

County auditor J T Matthews reports Elmer McKinley brought in 56 groundhog scalps to add to a running total of 196 bounties paid in recent months. Each scalp is worth 25 cents.
