Kalona resident Ober Niffenegser aged 61 died at University Hospital Iowa City after a long illness. Funeral set for 2:30 PM Wednesday at Kalona Methodist Church with Rev. B. H. Jones officiating, Pes terseim and Son funeral home handling arrangements. He was born June 9, 1889 near Walona, married Nettie Grady, and had a wife, one daughter and one son. He is survived by six brothers and four sisters with several relatives in Kalona and nearby towns.

Burial in Center cemetery after Methodist church service in Wayland. He was born February 16 1854 near Woodstock Ontario and moved to Henry county in 1865. He married Martha Leeper August 20 1876. Survived by three daughters Mrs Paul Mast Washington Mrs Charles Meek Brighton Mrs Van Syce Milton and son Homer Olds community. He lived with his grandson Wade Huffman of Wayland for 138 years after his wife’s death.
