At Chicago June 20 James Watson Indiana Taft floor manager sparked a Hadley boom for president as Roosevelt signals possible support for the Missouri governor if no majority forms. Hadley leads debate against Watts on a temporary roll change amid uproar. Alton B Parker named temporary Democratic chair in Baltimore with Missouri and other state delegations flexing influence.

Edward Parker a patrolman was killed and William Garkich an expresses wagon driver was badly wounded during a demonstration by 100 striking Pennsylvan ia railroad workers at St Clair avenue and Fast Twenty sixth street in Cleveland. Gary lich is expected to recover.
