Store Buildings on West Side to Undergo Modern Remodeling
Extensive improvements have begun on three storefronts on the west side of the square. Buildings housing Work & Meek, Ralph Smith, and F. L. Stolte, owned by W. R. Mount and the J. H. Stewart estate, will be reduced to two stories with raised ceilings and a pressed brick front. EB C. Rupp designed the plans, including a large show window and modern flats above. Completion is targeted for September 1.
