Susan A Dankwardt 73 widow of Otto Dankwardt died yesterday evening in Mt Pleasant state hospital after seven years illness. Funeral at L A Jones funeral home Wednesday at two. Burial Elm Grove cemetery. Born Sept 12 1872 in Middleburg MO she lived in St Joseph and Burlington before moving to Washington where Otto ran a meat market. Survived by three daughters Claire Gray Bedford IA Mabel Dankwardt and a son A L Dankwardt and three grandchildren.

Centerville Teen Dies During Extraction at Local Hospital
Sarala Main, 17, of Centerville, died yesterday in a local hospital while having teeth pulled. A Centerville High School graduate, she was active in church work and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Main. Final rites were planned for today.

Lightning destroys barn on Bell farm near town
A barn on William J. Bell's farm two miles northwest of town was struck by lightning at about 6 50 p.m. and burned with its contents. A combine hayloader and about 1000 bushels of corn were lost. sow losses uncertain. Fire crew from Farmers Mutual fought the blaze as power poles were splintered nearby.
