Truck overturns near Brighton causes $15,000 damage
A semi trailer overturned late Wednesday near Brighton after striking a steer. Driver Dee E. Hornbacher, 51, of rural Nevada, was not injured. The truck, loaded with bagged feed, veered off highway 78, damaged power steering, broke through a fence, buckled the trailer, and caused about $370 of feed and 75 feet of fencing belonging to Lyle Stacy to be damaged. No charges were filed.

Greek woman gives birth to octuplets in Athens
In Athens Hygeia hospital, a 31 year old Greek woman who had quadruplets in 1975 gave birth to octuplets five girls and three boys. Two girls and two boys died shortly after birth while the remaining six infants, about one pound to one pound 12 ounces each, were in incubators. The mother, Mrs Katerina Zerbini, is physically well but under emotional strain.

A spring storm battered Chicago suburbs with hail up to 18 inches deep in parts of Wisconsin and powerful winds. Arlington Park races saw horses bolt as hail swept the track while O’Hare Airport evacuated the control tower for four minutes amid 73 mph gusts. Grounds flooded and expressways clogged as rains drenched Indiana Illinois and Wisconsin markets.
