Weekend Auto Toll Is Heavy In Iowa
Seven people died in weekend traffic crashes across Iowa ages 15 to 72. Fatalities include Edna Bohn 61 of Manson in Pocahontas County collision with Ervin Johnson 54 of Fonda, Reinhart Scharn 72 of Sac City from a vehicle strike, Eulah Maxus 46 of Allerton in a bridge crash, and bicycle rider Craig Waldhelm 15 of Paullina on Iowa 10 detour. Also killed were John Driscoll Jr. 18 of Fort Madison in a motorcycle crash near West Point and Kenneth Kothmeyer 23 of Cedar Falls in a bridge crash on US 65 near Farrar. A Rockford man and three family members were killed in a crash on Interstate 80 near Iowa City involving a semi.
