Mrs McKeone Dies At Home In Washington
Mrs Bernard McKeone 536 a lifelong Washington resident died today at noon after a lingering illness. The body lies at Sherman’s funeral home awaiting word from distant relatives. Born Mary Charlotte Finke in Crawfordsville September 6 1909 she moved to Washington as a girl and graduated from Washington High School and Junior College. She married Bernard McKeone January 22 1935 and lived at 1937 North Sixth Avenue. Surviving are her husband a son Thomas her parents eight brothers and sisters and two sisters in Crawfordsville and San Antonio Texas.

Two Iowa men drown in farm reservoir
John Grimes a 15 year old farm hand and his employer Otis Foote 63 drowned in a small reservoir near Foote’s Bent? home after Grimes ran into trouble. Fred Ivers fetched help and Foote dived in to rescue both. Coroner H Stanley Woodring said the bodies were recovered shortly after other rescuers arrived.
