The government may delay intervention as officials study the situation and await further developments.

The Iowa state employment service reports for May 62 people visited the office, 214 veterans among them. Burlington Bus Strike Settled After Wage Accord
Chicago dispatch reports Burlington Transportation Company drivers across 14 states returned to work after a seven day strike. The agreement raises pay from 5 percent to 5.54 cents per mile for 875 drivers, with the union seeking 5.85 cents. Some minor rules remain to be finalized, but no major difficulty is expected.

Legion Plans Future Meetings at City Hall
