United Press International reports warm humid weather across Iowa with more rain forecast through Wednesday. The heaviest downpours hit west and northwest areas, with torrential rains flooding Boldt and Dakota City, submerging towns under two to three feet of water and halting traffic. A centennial celebration was postponed as the fairgrounds flooded. Nearby towns recorded about three inches, while others saw less than an inch.
