Iowa tax revenues rise with beer and corporate gains

Two Men Charged With Selling Liquor to High School Students
Polk county grand jury indicts James Lee Sellers age 20 and Raymond Wayne Bennett age 22 of Des Moines for bootlegging liquor to West Des Moines students. They allegedly sold liquor to a 16 year old and a 19 year old on May 2, with Sellers also facing a false name charge for a state liquor permit. Bonds set at 2000 and 1500 dollars.

West Union Boy, 11, Run Over by Disc on Farm

Burlington Man Killed In Crash at Gulfport
James Morris Martin, 24, of Burlington, died of serious injuries from an auto accident east of Gulfport Illinois. Kenneth Forquer, 25, also of Burlington, was slightly injured but not hospitalized after their car went out of control and plunged into a ditch on I 34.
