Primary vote forecasts split over Iowa governor race
Des Moines reports show weak overall interest in the 1948 GOP governor primary with forecasts ranging from about 180000 to 300000 votes. Blue's camp projects a two to one Blue margin, Beardsley backers expect at least 300000. Dems see a 75000 vote Democratic turnout, while weather and farmer activity could dampen turnout.
