Storm toll rises after weekend floods in Oklahoma
A violent storm left three dead and about 12 million dollars in damage after flooding in Tulsa Oklahoma. Heavy rain drenched Texas Gulf Coast as Coast Guard rescued five people near Galveston. A boat from Kenosha Wisconsin failed to return amid dense Lake Michigan fog. Tulsa floodwaters damaged nearly 2000 homes and a body of an unidentified woman was found in a tree. Governor Boren sought federal disaster declaration.

Frazer escapes jail as nationwide search continues
Gary Frazer, 25, an Oelwein man awaiting May sentencing for a first degree murder conviction, reportedly escaped from the Buchanan County Jail after enlarging a small ceiling opening. Police say Frazer, his wife Julie and their 18 month old son are missing in a 1965 red Ford, with possible flight to Canada.
