Bottle Gas Tank Explodes at Mrs Heck Home
In Pleasant Hill on July 29 a bottle gas tank exploded at the home of Mrs. Fred Heck as she ironed. She rushed to extinguish the stove refrigerator and iron to prevent damage while the blast caused heat damage to nearby gardens. A local banker humorously named Vaudeville, reportedly worth $5,000,000, sought to combine bleedings to save money, then died, echoing his stage namesake.
