Officers say Huff 65 failed to stop at Moore's filling station on Highway 169 colliding with a heavily loaded truck driven by Brute Catterson. E J Watson ruled death accidental.

Muscatine Man Dies In a Sawdust Pit

Graveside rites were held for Brice Wilson, 13, son of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Wilson, drowned in the Town river between Columbus Junction and Fredonia. The funeral officiant was Rev. Lester H. Bill of the Methodist church. The body was found Thursday at 11:30 a.m. floating about four miles downstream by Leo Wagner and Harry Snyder while patrolling the river. Emergency and Rescue Unit from Muscatine aided the search, with motor boat and drag line from Nichols and many local swimmers assisting.
