The United States aims to launch a three stage Air Force rocket on August 17 from Cape Canaveral to circle the moon in a boomerang flight and return to earth. Kalona Man Sam W Hershberger Dies After Heart Attack
Sam W. Hershberger 56 of Kalona died Saturday afternoon after suffering a heart attack at the Henry B. Miller farm while delivering for Farmers Supply Co. He was taken to Kalona for treatment but died en route to the hospital. Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at East Union Mennonite Church with A. Lloyd Swartzendruber and J. John J. Miller officiating. burial in the church cemetery. He was born Oct. 21 1901 in Johnson County the son of William and Barbara Hershberger. He is survived by his widow Cora Brennaman married Nov 6 1921, two sons Eugene of Kalona and Sam Jr. of Kittery Mo, two daughters Mrs Everette Ropp and Mrs Ervin Miller of Kalona, and nine grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are handled by Yoder Funeral Home.
