Woman Dies from Burns in Kerosene Accident
ALTA-Burns suffered Tuesday when her clothing ignited by a flaming can of kerosene were fatal to Mrs. Gust A. Johnson, 48, a farm woman living three miles north of here. The kerosene on the back of a kitchen stove burst into flame. In attempting to carry it outside, she was enveloped in the flames.

Tama Indians Visit Scout Camp Pow Wow at Washington Park
Three Indians from the Tama reservation in Iowa were guests of the Washington Bay Scouts at the community playground. A crowd of about 200 gathered around the camp-fire for a pow wow with ceremonial dances songs and drum beating.
