Publicized White House wedding for Luci Johnson and Nugent

Washington reports the August 6 wedding of Luci Baines Johnson and Patrick Nugent at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception with 700 guests. The ceremony is private though video coverage will occur, supervised by the First Lady to keep events controlled. A 100 voice choir and $4 million pipe organs will provide music for a lengthy nuptial Mass conducted by Archbishop O Boyle, with Rev. John Kuzinskas officiating. The First Family views the event as non official, with a large diplomatic party planned separately. The couple faces security and honeymoon logistics under full Secret Service protection.
