County Farm Women Plan Two Day Camp
Rural homemakers may attend a two day camp next week announced by Mrs. Earl Booth county Farm Bureau women's chairman. The event July 25 and 26 is the second annual camp by Washington Louisa county homemakers at a cottage on the Iowa river near Riverside junction. Contact the county extension office at Fruit Market or 994 by July 24. The program includes handcraft nature study music recreation with extension staff presenting topics on books poetry nature study homemaking philosophies and home beautification. Camp features outdoor supper singing vesper and campfire led by local leaders.

Born May 18 1896 in Louisa county he was a World War I veteran and survived by wife Hazel Smart three daughters Virginia Woolheater Evelyn Gallop Betty Nessler one granddaughter and siblings Lewis Paul Isador Rollo and Estella McCaleb.

The Iowa Civil Air Patrol reports Robert Livin of Oelwein will join an international exchange program. One Iowa cadet is chosen yearly to go to England while English cadets visit the United States. Livin will be flown to Washington on July 30 and then depart for England with other cadets. They will tour Spain Italy Portugal France and Switzerland during the trip.
