Safety Drive Posters Spread Through Washington Iowa
The Junior Chamber of Commerce launches a statewide safety poster service in Iowa starting August 17. Local chair Charles Morgan says merchants and public buildings will subscribe to 52 weekly posters featuring Watery sake and a display sign with insert space. Wayne Marston calls the project the biggest safety education effort, aiming for broad, enduring safety awareness across the state.

Third Polio Victim Admitted to Hospital
A third polio case from Washington state is hospitalized at University Hospital in Iowa City for treatment. The patient is 13 year old Carol Zelinsky, daughter of Walter and Dorance Ardu ser.
