Bandit Car Abandoned on Farm Near Grant City
Sheriff Zeon Morgan reports the daylight robbery car from Sundell Shoe Co. was found abandoned near Grant City Missouri with several Minnesota plates inside. The vehicle, stolen in Illinois, was left by two men who had a farmer drive them to Osceola. They claimed the car broke and sought a mechanic. The farmer became suspicious days later as the car remained in place.

Wife Dies Husband Takes Own Life in Iowa Swisher Barn
Sorrow over the death of his wife was blamed for the self inflicted death of Frank Shebetka 80 of Swisher. Mrs Shebetka 86 died shortly after midnight and her husband was found hanging in a barn. They had been married 56 years.
Watch Lost 43 Years Given to Relative

To Try Russell for Slaying of Hamilton

A car driven by C. Davidson of Kalona and a Cedar Rapids truck loaded with steel driven by Everett Brady collided at the intersection of primary road 22 and the Middlebury road near Kalona. Mrs. T. J. Noll, 85, wife of the assistant adjutant of the town G A R, died in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held Thursday in Grinnell, the Nolls' former home, as her husband is a past commander of the town G A R.
Farmer Fatally Injured in Tractor Binder Accident
Helger KH Helgason, 59, and his son Melvin were cutting grain near Wallingford when the tractor hit a hole, throwing Helgason from the seat into the moving grain binder. Melvin could not prevent the tragedy. The incident occurred on the farm countryside in Estherville.
