Four Men Arrested In Auto Parts Thefts At Race Track
Four men arrested after a wave of auto accessory thefts following a raid at Mahoney's race track in Davenport. Suspects Richard Hengel 27 Harold Warlow 34 Warren Tapper and Kenneth Nelson from Bettdorf Illinois and Milan Illinois were charged with receiving stolen property. Law enforcement and state agents led the operation with deputies and detectives. Two Davenport reporters accompanied raiders but surrendered film after an attack at the track.

City Community Chest Drive Details Announced

In Goldsboro North Carolina AP report four children mourn their mother and six siblings killed when a trailer was rear ended by a motorist who faces manslaughter and drunken driving charges. The father Ivey Wadsworth 50 was seriously injured and the surviving four children were not aboard the trailer. Thelma Newsom Wadsworth 40 percent? and six children perished. John Haywood Daughtry 30 of Smithfield NC was lightly hurt. The deceased include Edith Barbara 13 David 3 Bertie 15 Donald 18 months and Ivey Aaron Jr 9.

Police and friends had to extract him yesterday from a 725 pound barrel trapped near the brink and later damage left it flattened and wrecked. Three Injured in Two Car Collision Near Washington
Three persons were injured Sunday afternoon when a two car crash occurred at a blind intersection two miles east and a half mile south of Washington. Man Escapes Jail Slipping Out Locks Up Prisoners
