Ice cream and ices are sold by the Diamond Ice Cream Co with delivery to any city area at 100 per gallon and 75 cents per gallon for five gallons or more. They guarantee fresh, smooth product daily or no pay and take special care for party or picnic orders.
The Journal recalls the arrest of Carl Volger at his Coppock cousin’s home for arson against his mother’s German house. The trial examined over thirty witnesses and resulted in acquittal. Volger’s cousin accuses others, claiming a trap and a bad accomplice.

Storeys praised Gloversville and Johnstown New York as prettiest cities of its size in the United States. The Root-Tea-Na Company drew a large crowd with J J Laurens basso and a fine quartet.
A large crowd watched workouts at Wagner’s track this morning. Pat W. trotted three heats for Haines McCollum and Wagner, winning all three with times around 24 seconds. John Yockey’s mare finished three heats in identical times, implying solid form but limited pace by the field.
Reports from the country praise the oats for filling well and nearing harvest while fearing late oats. Corn appears fine with good stands indicating an abundant crop potential in those fields.
Pearl Gardner of the J. Albert Williams shoe store at Miss A. E. Berry's on the west side square fell ill and went home last evening but is back on duty today. The note mentions Art Sheetings, Villa Cloth, Art Linens, and Coronation Cloth in the same vicinity.
The Merry Maids and eight A V s planned a neat surprise for Ada Jenkins at her home last evening for her birthday. Accompanied by gentleman friends, they arrived unannounced and spent the evening in games and pleasant conversation with elegant refreshments served.
A community celebration features first class fireworks good hand music and foot races at Censton on July 10 with balloonas platform dance and speeches. Miss Gracie Arthur hosts eleven birthday attendees with light refreshments and well wishes. The Edison Exhibition Company arrives in the city renting a room near the square. Sousa band march praised by a reporter and music compared favorably to phonographs.
Four horses drew a picnic wagon with bunting and flags. as the party left at four this afternoon an east side hind wheel ran off. The delay was brief while the crowd searched for the airship. The accident happened from a loose bar dropping off the wagon.
The Merry Maids depart from routine and host a moonlight picnic for their gentlemen friends. It is their first entertainment in some time and the young people expect a jolly good time.
The county board of Supervisors in Ohio with T Reynolds 8 S D Carris and G T Matthews is in session handling routine county business and will probably adjourn tomorrow.
The county normal institute starts next week and is expected to draw the largest audience yet. Miss Stewart and Miss Marie Stewart arrive near the California border after a thirty hour train delay caused by burning snow sheds ahead of their division. Edward Amherst Ott of Des Moines will address the institute on July 26 on Sour Grapes and is billed as a leading speaker. Miss Jennie Nelson, guest of Mr and Mrs Chas Corette, has returned home.
An advertisement touts Hall's Catarrh Cure as a constitutional treatment that reaches blood and mucous membranes to destroy disease foundations. Proponents pledge a $100 reward for any failure to cure and urge sending for testimonials from PFJ Cheney & Co of Toledo. Also promotes Hall's Family Pills as the best.
