Seven Inches Of Towa Rain Flood Hits Cedar Rapids Area
Seven inches of rain dumped over Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas triggering floods on highways and streets. City officials report up to seven inches in three hours late Saturday into Sunday, with the Red Cross housing temporarily homeless families. University of Iowa students hit with sanctions in protests
Three University of Iowa students were placed on probation through January 21 1972 or June 1972 for violations of Board of Regents conduct rules during the past academic year. Additional charges against 13 other students and one non student were prepared in connection with demonstrations last May. A hearing was held by Theodore G Garfield and the sanctions were amended after findings. One other ROTC incident and student actions at the Language House led to further probations and suspensions.
