Alou six for Giants as strong inning fuels win

Jay Alou, 21, new Giants outfielder and brother of Felipe and Matty, collected six hits in six at bats as San Francisco routed the Cubs 103. Maris laughed earlier at Alou’s unorthodox stance, while Hank Sauer called him a bad-ball hitter. The day also featured Dodgers, Pirates, and Cardinals wins with Koufax needing relief in Houston.
