Local Freight Resumes At Old Stand Amid Service Delays
ThecC R J P is back in business at the old stand receiving freight for many points except Chicago. Several freight and most passenger trains operated today. The Firefly won’t start until next week and the fast mail is not yet running. Washington’s Chicago papers still come via Burlington and the Narrow Gauge. Yellow cards may spare bread-home trips from the bake shop. Ice cream and large cakes available by special order. J B Seaton, once city hotelier, left town on the early morning train for less publicized, remote parts. friends wish him well.
