Washington to Tighten Parking Enforcement in Business District
Washington Police Chief Ken Bauer announced stiffer enforcement of two hour parking limits in the business district from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. except Sundays and holidays. The curb spaces on Washington and Main Streets and on Iowa and Marion Avenues will be checked by police and reserves at the request of local businessmen. The city joins others in Iowa receiving a pedestrian safety award. Washington reports eight straight years without a pedestrian fatality, while Perry leads with 34 years. A semi truck overturned on Highway 218 near Crawfordsville causing $41,600 in damage. the driver was charged with failure to stop in the assured clear distance ahead.

Porter of West Chester over a December 31 1974 two car crash on highway 92 near its junction with 114. Plaintiffs Richard J. Wehr and wife Cynnie A.
