Kinney Dies Diving From Berwick Bridge
Berwick Pennsylvania July 7 John Kinney 45 died instantly after diving 60 feet into the Susquehanna from the Berwick Nescopeck bridge into two feet of shallow water over a rock bed. Coroner John Evans ruled death accidental.

George Taylor 97 a former Washington resident died Sunday evening in a Davenport hospital after a five day illness. Funeral services are tentatively set for Wednesday afternoon at Sherman's funeral home. He was a fireman at the Mississippi hotel in Davenport and is survived by his mother Mrs Hannah Taylor and two brothers Seryl of California and Albert of Iowa City.

Fire damages single residence on North Sixth Avenue
