Three Iowa City Men Injured in Riverside Car Crash
Three Iowa City men were seriously hurt Saturday when Howard Mahoney lost control on highway 22 in Riverside, crashed into a large tree after plunging down a five foot embankment. Mahoney suffered a broken nose and facial injuries, Roy Conklin had a fractured collarbone and severe concussion, and Arthur Hanson sustained facial cuts and an injured arm. All were taken to Mercy hospital Iowa City. The wreck totaled about 500 dollars. A separate incident on highway 92 near Washington involved Richard Sheetz, whose car ran off the road after a tire blowout. no injuries were reported and damage was about 85 dollars.

Evacuation of Nearly 1000 Civilians From Aleutians

Legion Will Elect Officers Tuesday

Mrs. Radamacker Funeral Held Today
Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Radamacker were held at 2 PM at L. A. Jones funeral home. She died Saturday evening at age 72 after a three week illness. Burial was in Elm Grove cemetery. She was born October 22, 1869 in Peoria Illinois and married Harm Radamacher in 1896. Surviving: husband, daughter Louie Schroeder, son Charles, brother Onno Garrels, sister Mary Enfield, and granddaughter Joan Schroeder. One son Alfred preceded in death.
