Miss Nether Wigar Wins City Bathing Beauty Trophy

The Iowa City Press-Citizen reports Miss Nether Wigar a 28 year old brunette of 226 South Capitol Street Washington IA won the junior chamber of commerce bathing beauty trophy at the Fourth of July celebration at the city park Tuesday. She beat 31 contestants before thousands at the grandstand. Rose Carbausa returned from Chicago for a week’s vacation. Dr and Mrs Milford Day of Indianola visiting Brighton with sister Mrs Roy Jones shopped in Washington. Miss Lucy Benz and Miss Lena Stewart returned from Chicago.
