Harold Moothart 21 Des Moines was killed in a two car collision near Riverview park on July 4 He rode on a running board as the cars driven by Ray Quick 21 Ankeny and Leo Birka 20 Riverside collided Several others suffered minor injuries among them Harold's wife Lois Sumnerville and Phyllis Sumnerville of Washington and Ivan Meeks of Riverside The accident occurred shortly after midnight and involved multiple occupants from Ankeny Johnston Riverside and Crawfordsville.

Word was received today of the death of Otto Stichter at Albany New York on Sunday. He was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Henry Stichter. He married Miss Fannie Shearer who survives him. His death occurred suddenly although he had been a sufferer from diabetes for several years. One brother Roy Stichter is living.
