Clara Fox of Omaha died instantly when the harness on a wire slide from the Fort lodge courthouse tower to a nearby pole unbuckled. She plunged into a crowd about 100 feet below, striking W. H. Wheeler of Port Dodge and injuring him fatally. In another event, the Shamrock LI beat Shamrock in a seven minute thirty mile race with a strong wind.
