Aunt Agatha on Washington July Fourth Happenings
Washington notes a quiet Fourth of July with no parade or fireworks, a Reds versus Wayland baseball game, and hot early week weather easing by Thursday. Local items include record electricity use, a private plane incident, new ball-field lights, a softball league, a 25th anniversary post office open house, Phil Weldin's retirement after 49 years, two new dentists, traffic signal installation, Miriam Jones in a theater group, and the County Fair set for August 2 to 5.
