Rain slows street work in Washington area
The Washington area received 58 of an inch of rain Monday and Monday night delaying street improvement work. City crews from the street and light departments and Iowa Southern Utilities moved light poles and curb boxes back to the new sidewalk line and completed details before curb and gutter are poured. Larsen Construction Co. finished curb and gutter on the east side of South Iowa Avenue and began work on the west side.
