Senators seek Tur’s view on item veto power
Two Republican senators Charles Mogget and Clifton Lamborn urge Attorney General Richard Tur to state his view on the item veto. They question whether the governor can veto a non-dollar item in a highway commission appropriation that would block moving resident engineers, inspectors, and offices from Fairfield to Mount Pleasant, and whether the legislature can reconsider such a veto like a regular veto.
