A longtime county resident died at his home six miles north of the city after a bout with the grip and a relapse following his mother's death. He leaves a wife and six children. funeral services are tomorrow at ten with Rev. Davidson at the family home, interment in the old cemetery. Separately, a man canvassing near the lunch counter was cut by a barrel corner after falling in a fit but recovered within an hour.
Washington Iowa grocers butchers and hardware merchants sign a pledge to close on July 4.
