He leaves two sisters and two brothers with several nieces and nephews.

Mrs John J Knepp aged about 76 died at five this morning at her home four miles northeast of Kalona after weeks of illness from a complication of diseases. Funeral plans not yet completed. Survived by husband four sons Eli Edwin Lloyd and John Knepp and daughter Mrs John Byler all of the community. One daughter preceded her in death. Several brothers and sisters also survive. The Knepps spent most of their married life in the area.

Richard Washburn Child former ambassador to Italy and noted author died today of pneumonia in New York. He was ambassador to Italy from 1921 to 1924 and was influential in world affairs with wide friendships among statesmen. He chaired the national crime commission in 1919 and served as editor of Collier's.
