Planes Down in French Alps Report
Semi official reports say a missing American plane was wrecked in the French Alps. A Flying Fortress aiding the search crashed, killing 10 crewmen, and wreckage of another transport was found. Ground parties near Digne reportedly spotted the C-17 with five American children and four crewmen. Forty two lives would be counted if confirmed.
