Spe Council Chambers Special Session January 22, 1973
City Council met in a special session chaired by Mayor Ralph E. Martin. Present were Brown Nicola Messer Walker Stephens. Whitham absent. John C. Owen attended as City Attorney. They heard objections to the Final Assessments plat and other business. A resolution correcting final assessments was adopted. A motion rejected the Eclipse Lumber Co. settlement. Cigarette permit for Harold's APCO Station was approved. The raise for Blue Cross Blue Shield hospital insurance was split 50 50 with employees. A committee including the Mayor and others was appointed to meet county supervisors on merging law enforcement. A survey on South 9th Avenue stop signs was ordered. Park budget control and park funds administration were assigned to Park Commission. street department to handle park drives maintenance. Session adjourned to Feb 5, 1973 at 7:30 PM.
