Snow Cleared as Trains Struggle in Blizzard Weather

The report states James N Young died at his home in Howard Kansas after a several day illness. Mrs J A Young received a message from her husband noting his father's death last night. He was a well known man in the county and his passing ends a long illness.

New County Fair at Smouse's Hall Opens Late January
The Young People’s Society of the Presbyterian church hosts two evening fairs January 27 and 28 at Smouse's Hall. Doors open 7 PM, races start 7 30 PM, pumpkin display aims for county best, and refreshments, exhibits, and a side show will run with strict security and a 10 cent admission.
