Jobless rate climbs in Washington County in November
The Evening Journal reports Job Service of Iowa shows Washington County November unemployment at 3.0 percent, up from 2.3 percent in October. There were 270 jobless residents, an increase of 56, with the local labor force dropping to 9,110 from 9,372. Most job losses were in agriculture, while the statewide rate stood at 4.9 percent.
