Milk Man In Wagon Crash Near City

Dan Rohrer dairy man northwest of the city toppled on a steep hill as he drove to Washington. His wagon slid into a ditch spilling thirty gallons of milk and a lantern exploded starting a small fire. Rohrer escaped with injuries including a badly bruised shoulder. No serious harm to others reported.

Flynn arraigned for drunkenness in Ainsworth

Flynn of the vicinity of Ainsworth was arraigned before the mayor on Saturday for drunkenness and disorderly conduct. He paid a $10 fine and additional costs, then later repeated the behavior and was jailed overnight before being released to go home. Authorities warn further incidents may lead to a 30 day jail term.

City orchestra seeks revival with free instruction plan

Musicians in the city lacking an orchestra plan a meeting at Phanix Hall on Wednesday to form an organization. Prof Jonaway offers free instruction for joiners who commit to regular practice. All players with instruments are urged to attend Wednesday evening. In Dutch Creek township Mary Carkufff, five years nine months, died of diphtheria at her parents home. Interment was at New Bethel Church Cemetery yesterday at two PM. No other diphtheria cases exist in the family.

Scarlet fever quarantine amid city health measures

City authorities quarantined the home of Jane Kearney on Saturday as a family member recovered from scarlet fever. The Hayes residence in the First ward was also quarantined after two children contracted scarlet fever. The board of health acts quickly to prevent spread using local applications where the disease seat cannot be reached.

Senderson Wallace and his sisters learned of the death of their oldest sister Mrs. R. E. Heits in Ogden Utah on Saturday at 12 45 p m. Burial is planned at Rock Springs Wyoming where a son rests. She was formerly Miss Rena Wallace a former resident of this city and last visited nine years ago.
