Under THawk-Eye Lodge No 1 AOW, a grand fraternal meeting is set for January 27 at 8:00 p m in the Graham Theatre. Rev J W Geiger of Marion Iowa will speak on benefits of Protective Societies with humor and insight. Also addresses by Grand Master R L Tilton and Judge A R Dewey. Admission is free.

K R Sutton and T Watters were sentenced to two months in the Washington county jail and fined 50 dollars after pleading guilty to breaking and entering the Kyle saw mill tool house. The court adjourned until Monday and other probate, law and criminal docket items were disposed of.
