Two men get deferred judgments for drunk driving

Vernon L. Swelley of Hills and Philip C. Embree of Washington were each granted 12 month deferred judgments after pleading guilty to OMVAS charges in Washington County District Court. District Judge Ira F. Morrison handed down the deferrals.

Long lines at county DMV as license deadline nears

Motorists flock to Washington County Treasurer’s office to beat the deadline for 1977 motor vehicle license plates and tags.
