Iowa River Flood Menace Grows
More than 40 000 acres of farm land in Des Moines and Louisa counties were inundated as the Iowa river rose forcing over 600 families to flee. The crest was forecast at Oakville with the town not in great danger. Thousands of livestock drowned and the flood covered 80 square miles in the southeastern area. Explosion at Brown Dairy Causes Heavy Damage in Algona
